Alto dirigente do grupo resistente Hamás disse ontem que não entrará em discussões ‘midiáticas’ com Israel sobre a troca de prisioneiros, noticia hoje o diário Al-Hayat publicado em Londres, em árabe.
O representante do Hamás disse ao jornal que o grupo não tem qualquer interesse em abrir uma ‘frente midiática’ no conflito com a entidade sionista. Acrescentou que o Hamás estuda mudar sua tática na negociação para a troca de prisioneiros, mas que em nenhum caso essas questões serão discutidas pelas televisões e jornais.
Acrescentou que a negociação está chegando à fase final e que há motivos para otimismo entre os palestinos.
Na quarta-feira, representantes do Hamás reunidos na Síria deram por concluídas as deliberações internas para decidir sobre a posição do grupo. Segundo matéria do Al-Hayat, ficou decidido que a oferta de Israel não será rejeitada agora e será levada para a próxima rodada de negociações mediadas pelos alemães.
Notícias divulgadas essa semana dão conta de que ainda não há perfeito acordo sobre a lista de prisioneiros que o Hamás exige que sejam soltos imediatamente e sobre quantos, dos que forem libertados, o Hamás aceitará que sejam exilados dos territórios palestinos como parte das exigências de Israel.
Os jornais têm informado que Israel continua a rejeitar a ideia de libertar 22 prisioneiros palestinos, entre os quais Marwan Barghouti, líder Tanzim; Ahmed Sa’adat, secretário-geral da Frente Popular para a Libertação da Palestina; e dois comandantes da ala militar do Hamás, Ibrahim Hamad e Abdullah Barghouti.

Hamas Not Interested in Media War with Israel Over Shalit Deal
Hamas said it will not engage in media battles with Israel over the prisoner exchange deal to free captured occupation soldier Gilad Shalit, a senior official from the resistance group said Saturday, according to a report in London-based Arabic-language daily Al-Hayat.
The official, who remained anonymous, said Hamas is not interested in opening a “media front” in its conflict with Israel. He added that Hamas is changing tactics regarding prisoner exchanges, saying the group plans to avoid discussion of points of contention with Israel in the media.
He added, however, that the deal is in the final stages of negotiation and that its completion seems promising.
Hamas officials in Syria on Thursday completed their consultations over Israel’s offer for a prisoner exchange deal. According to the Al-Hayat report, the officials decided not to reject the Israeli offer outright, but to continue to a next round of German-mediated negotiations.
Reports earlier this week indicated there is still disagreement over some prisoners Hamas wants released and over how many of those freed will be exiled from the Palestinian territories.
Israel is reportedly still refusing to release 22 Palestinian prisoners, including Tanzim leader Marwan Barghouti, secretary general of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Ahmed Sa’adat, andtwo of the heads of Hamas’ military wing in the West Bank, Ibrahim Hamad and Abdullah Barghouti.
